Dylan’s Peacewalking Story

In 2010 due to the progression of a rare eye-disease, Dylan Raines gave up driving and began using his feet to go where he needed or wanted to go. It started by walking 6 miles to downtown Olympia, Washington, where he lived at the time and would work as a freelance web developer at a local cafe, and walking another 6 miles home in the evening.

Then, in 2012, Dylan landed in Los Angeles, California and began walking north to see how far he could go using his own two feet. He would walk 1000 miles along the west coast and realized the revelation that what truly empowers us in life is not how much money we have, it is the relationships we form along the journey and the trust we need to regain in one another as members of the human family.
